How then can a human be justified before God? Or how can one born of a woman be clean?
The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the one who is to be born will be holy and will be called the Son of God.
If y’all then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to y’all’s children, how much more will y’all’s heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask ʜɪᴍ?”
A certain ruler questioned him, saying, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
You know the commandments: ‘You must not commit adultery,’ ‘You must not murder,’ ‘You must not steal,’ ‘You must not give false testimony,’ ‘You must honor your father and your mother.’”
By common confession, the mystery of godliness is great: He was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the ethnic groups, believed on in the world, and taken up in glory.
For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
