There is a way which seems right to a person, but in the end it leads to death.


Do you see a person who is wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them.


“The eye is the lamp of the body. If therefore your eye is singular, your whole body will be full of light.


Your eye is the lamp of your body. Therefore when your eyes are singular, your whole body is also full of light. But when you have an evil eye, your body also is full of darkness.


Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, with no part of it dark, it will be wholly full of light, as when the lamp shines light on you.”


Claiming to be wise, they became fools


The one lacking these things is blind and short-sighted, having forgotten the cleansing from their past sins.


As they speak with high-sounding but empty words, they entice to the desires of the flesh and sensuality, those who are have barely escaped from those who live in error,


Because you say, ‘I am wealthy and have become wealthy, and I need nothing.’ But you don’t know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
