I gave my back to those who beat me, and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair. I didn’t hide my face from shame and spitting.


But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.


and will hand him over to the ethnic groups to be mocked, flogged, and crucified. And on the third day, he will be raised up.”


Therefore, I am sending y’all prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them y’all will kill and crucify; and some of them y’all will flog in your* synagogues and persecute from city to city,
