The Angel of YHWH said to her, “I will increase-increase your offspring, that they will not be counted for multitude.”
I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.”
God said, “No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You are to name him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.
But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”
They asked him, “Where is Sarah, your wife?” He said, “There, in the tent.”
Then YHWH visited Sarah as he had said, and YHWH did for Sarah what he had promised.
Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
But the angel told him, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to name him John.
However, the son by the slave was born according to the flesh, but the son by the free woman was born through the promise.
