Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia. When I leave, then the prince of Greece will come.


“Now I will show you the truth. See, three more kings will stand up in Persia. The fourth will be far richer than all of them. When he has grown strong through his riches, he will stir up all against the realm of Greece.


A mighty king will stand up, who will rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.


“After you, another kingdom will arise that is inferior to you. Next, a third kingdom of bronze will rule over all the earth.


“After this I looked, and there was another beast, like a leopard, that had on its back four wings of a bird. The animal also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.


The ram you saw, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.


As for that which was broken, in the place where four stood up, four kingdoms will stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.


For indeed I bend Judah as a bow for me. I have loaded the bow with Ephraim. I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and will make you like the sword of a mighty man.
