Then ʜᴇ gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision, and so he became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day. Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.

YHWH saw that Leah was hated, and he opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.


Bilhah conceived, and bore Jacob a son.


They traveled from Bethel. There was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and Rachel travailed. She had hard labor.


As her soul was departing (for she died), she named him Benoni, but his father named him Benjamin.


Abraham became the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.


Abraham fathered Isaac. Isaac fathered Jacob. Jacob fathered Judah and his brothers.


Moses gave y’all circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but from the fathers), and on the Sabbath y’all circumcise a boy.


“Siblings, it is right for me to speak confidently to y’all about the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.


How then was it credited? When he was circumcised or uncircumcised? It wasn’t when he was circumcised, but when he was uncircumcised.


Siblings, speaking according to humans, though it is only a human covenant, once it has been confirmed, no one cancels it or adds to it.


What I mean is this: The law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not invalidate a confirmed beforehand by God, so as to nullify the promise.


Now y’all consider how great he was. Even Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of his plunder.
