After these things, God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” He said, “Here I am.”
The Angel of YHWH called to him out of the sky, and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” He said, “Here I am.”
When YHWH saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said, “Moses! Moses!” He said, “Here I am.”
YHWH says, “What unrighteousness have y’all’s ancestors found in me, that they have gone far from me, and have walked after worthless vanity, and have become worthless?
“Therefore I will bring my case against y’all,” says YHWH, “and I will bring my case against y’all’s children’s children.
“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly I tell y’all, whatever y’all didn’t do for one of the least of these, y’all didn’t do for to me.’
But the governor said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out even louder, “Crucify him!”
“But on the journey as I was approaching Damascus around noon, an intense light from the sky suddenly flashed around me.
“I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ He replied, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’
He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
even though I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. However, I was shown mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
