John answered them, “I baptize in water, but among y’all stands one whom y’all don’t know.
He is the one who comes after me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to untie.”
He came as a testifier to testify about the light, so that through him all might believe.
For John baptized with water, but in a few days y’all will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how he used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but y’all will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
