The crowd shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a human!”


They called Barnabas “Zeus,” and Paul “Hermes,” because he was the chief speaker.


they found out and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe, and to the surrounding region.


They were expecting him to swell up or fall down dead suddenly, but when they watched for a long time and saw nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.


and all the people, from the least to the greatest, paid attention to him, saying, “This man is called the Great Power of God.”
