and said: for this thing, shall a man leave father and mother, and cleave unto his wife, and they twain shall be one flesh.


Then said they to him: why did Moses command to give unto her a testimonial of divorcement, and to put her away?


therefore that which God hath coupled, let not man separate.


For the woman which is in subjection to a man, is bound by the law to the man, as long as he liveth. If the man be dead, she is lowsed from the law of the man.


¶ So ought men to love their wives, as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife, loveth himself.


Let wedlock be had in price in all points, and let the chamber be undefiled: for whore keepers and advoutrers God will judge.
