and besought him, that they might touch the border of his vesture only. And as many as touched it, were made safe.


and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and felt none amendment at all: But waxed worse and worse.


For she said: If I may but touch his clothing, I shall be whole.


And whithersoever he entered into the towns, or cities, or villages, they laid their sick in the streets, and prayed him, that they might touch and it were but the edge of his vesture. And as many as touched him were safe.


So that from his body were brought unto the sick, napkins or partlets, and the diseases and evil spirits departed from them.


insomuch that they brought their sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and pallets, that at the leastway the shadow of Peter when he came by, might shadow some of them.
