¶ And behold there was a great earthquake. For the angel of the Lord descended from heaven: and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
And when he knew the truth of the under captain, he gave the body to Ioseph.
And took it down, and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid it in an hewn tomb, wherein was never man before laid.
Iesus again groaned in himself came to the grave, it was a cave, and a stone laid on it.
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. Iesus lift up his eyes and said: Father I give thee thanks because that thou hast heard me,
¶ The morrow after the saboth day came Mary Magdalene early when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and saw the stone rolled away from the tomb.
