¶ Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened unto x. virgins, which took their lamps, and went to meet the bridegroom:


See that your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.


and ye yourselves, like unto men, that watch for their master when he will return from a wedding: that as soon as he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him.


¶ Stand therefore and your loins gird about with verity, having on the breastplate of righteousness,


that ye may be faultless, and pure, and the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked, and a perverse nation, among which see that ye shine as lights in the world,


¶ Wherefore gird up the loins of your minds, be sober, and trust perfectly on the grace that is brought unto you, in that Iesus Christ is opened,
