He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me, and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me;


And going on from thence, he saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in a vessel with Zebedee their father mending their nets; and he called them.


And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease, and all manner of malady among the people.


And he called them; and immediately leaving their father Zebedee in the vessel with the hired servants, they went after him.


If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.


So every one of you, who forsaketh not all that he hath, cannot be my disciple.


And when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed him.


So that we from this time know no one after the flesh; yea, if we have known even Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
