And I say to you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except for whoredom, and marry another, committeth adultery, and whoso marrieth her that is put away, committeth adultery.


And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.


Whosoever putteth away his wife and marrieth another, committeth adultery; and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband, committeth adultery.


Therefore if she marry another man while her husband liveth, she will be called an adultress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law, so as to be no adultress, though she marry another man.


The wife hath not power over her own body, but the husband; and in like manner the husband also hath not power over his own body, but the wife.


Marriage is honourable in all men, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
