At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes.


Even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.


But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you:


And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.


and kneeling down, he prayed, saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.


I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them whom thou hast given me; for they are thine.


Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power over me, unless it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin.


But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm; for we are all here.


And now, brethren, I know that thro' ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.


And kneeling down, he cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And having said this, he fell asleep: And Saul was consenting to his death.


Which none of the rulers of this world knew; for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.


being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:


having put me into the ministry, Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and a reviler; but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.


Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing, but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are called to this, to inherit a blessing.
