They saw the works of Adonai, and His wonders in the deep.


who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps truth forever,


He gathers the waters of the sea together in a heap. He lays up deep waters in storehouses.


He had not yet made the land, the fields, or the first dust of the earth.


when He set the boundaries for the sea, so that the waters never transgress His command, when He laid out earth’s foundations—


Do you not fear Me?’ says Adonai. ‘Do you not tremble in My presence?’ For I made the sand a boundary of the sea, an everlasting decree that cannot be broken. Though the waves roll, they cannot prevail. Though they roar, they cannot cross it.


He said to them, “I am a Hebrew and I fear Adonai God of the heavens, who made the sea and the dry land.”
