Their soul abhorred all food, and they drew near the gates of death.


They mounted up to the sky and plunged down to the depths. In their peril their souls melted away.


A prayer of David. Hear, Adonai, a just plea, listen to my cry! Give ear to my prayer— from lips with no deceit.
