“Strength resides in his neck; dismay runs before him.


He lurks in a hiding place like a lion in a thicket. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the unfortunate one, dragging him away in his net.


My Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages— my solitary existence from the lions.


Send forth Your light and Your truth— let them guide me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to Your dwelling places.
