If Your Torah had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
Unless Your law had been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
If your Instruction hadn’t been my delight, I would have died because of my suffering.
Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet Your mitzvot are my delight.
I will delight in Your decrees. I will never forget Your word.
For Your testimonies are my delight— they are also my counselors.
My comfort in my affliction is this: Your word has kept me alive.
Let Your tender mercies reach me, Let me live, for Your Torah is my delight.
Surely I trust that I will see the goodness of Adonai in the land of the living.
For whatever was written before was written for our instruction, so that through patience and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
