I have gained more understanding than all my elders, for I have kept Your precepts.
I understand more than the ancients, Because I keep thy precepts.
I understand more than the aged, because I keep Your precepts [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them].
I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept thy precepts.
I have more understanding than the elders because I guard your precepts.
Is not wisdom with the aged and understanding bring long life?

The fear of Adonai is the beginning of wisdom. All who follow His precepts have good understanding. His praise endures forever!
