So all Bnei-Yisrael did so. They did just as Adonai commanded Moses and Aaron.


Moses numbered Israel in the wilderness of Sinai just as Adonai had commanded him.


Then Moses became very angry and said to Adonai, “Do not accept their offering. I haven’t taken from them a single donkey, nor have I wronged one of them!”


Give the money for the redemption of the extra ones of the firstborn of them to Aaron and his sons.”


From the firstborn of Bnei-Yisrael he collected silver weighing 1,365 shekels, according to the Sanctuary shekel.


Adonai spoke to Moses and to Aaron saying,


I coveted no one’s silver or gold or clothing.


If others have a share in this claim over you, shouldn’t we even more? Nevertheless we did not use this right, but we put up with all things so that we cause no hindrance to the Good News of Messiah.
