Adonai listened to Israel’s plea and delivered up the Canaanites. They put them and their cities under the ban of destruction. So the name of the place was called Hormah.
The Amorites who lived in that hill country came out against you, and they chased you as bees do and scattered you from Seir to Hormah.
How can one chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them and Adonai had handed them over?
