The companies of singers were also assembled from the district around Jerusalem and from the Netophathite villages,


After the kohanim and the Levites had purified themselves, they purified the people, the gates, and the wall.


I also learned that the portions for the Levites had not been provided, and that each of the Levites and singers who performed the work had gone back to his own field.


Are they not across the Jordan toward the west, in the land of the Canaanites who dwell in the Arabah—opposite Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?


Then Joshua and all Israel with him returned to the camp at Gilgal.
