For I am full of words, and the spirit within me compels me;


“Cry aloud, do not hold back! Raise your voice like a shofar. Tell My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.


The Ruach Adonai Elohim is on me, because Adonai has anointed me to proclaim Good News to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound,


to proclaim the year of Adonai’s favor and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn


Look, today I have set you up as a fortified city— an iron pillar and bronze walls— against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, its princes against its kohanim, and against the people of the land.


But if I say: “I won’t mention Him, or speak any more in His Name,” then it is like fire burning in my heart— shut up in my bones— I weary myself holding it in, but I cannot.


So I am full of the wrath of Adonai. I am weary of holding it in! Pour it out on a child in the street, on young men gathered together. For husband will be taken with wife, the aged with the very old.


Your prophets have seen for you false and worthless visions. They did not expose your iniquity, so as to restore your captivity. Rather, they have seen for you false and worthless oracles.


“Son of man, confront Jerusalem with her abominations


“Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Make them know the detestable practices of their fathers.


“You, son of man, will you judge? Will you judge the bloody city? So explain to her all her abominations.


Then Adonai said to me, “Son of man, will you pass judgment on Oholah and Oholibah? Confront them with their disgusting practices.


The Ruach lifted me up and took me away. I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit. The hand of Adonai was strong upon me.


“You, son of man, describe the House to the house of Israel, so they will be ashamed of their iniquities. Let them measure accurately.


for He was teaching them as one having authority and not as their Torah scholars.
