A man’s pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will gain honor.
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but one who trusts in Adonai will be kept safe.
“Whom was it you dreaded and feared, so that you lied. But you did not remember Me or take it to heart? Have I not kept silent a long time— yet you do not fear Me?
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and incurable—who can know it?
And suddenly, one of those with Yeshua stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and he struck the kohen gadol ’s servant and cut off his ear.

Peter was following Him from a distance as far as the courtyard of the kohen gadol . And after going inside, he was sitting with the guards, to see the outcome.
Meanwhile, Peter was sitting in the courtyard. A servant girl came over to him and said, “You also were with Yeshua of the Galilee.”
When he went onto the porch, another servant girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This man was with Yeshua ha-Natzrati.”
True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear—
Therefore let the one who thinks that he stands watch out that he doesn’t fall.
But for the cowardly and faithless and detestable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars—their lot is in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
