The span of our years is seventy —or with strength, eighty— yet at best they are trouble and sorrow. For they are soon gone, and we fly away.


If the person is from one month to five years old, then your valuation is to be five shekels of silver for a male and three shekels of silver for a female.


But if he is poorer than your valuation, then he is to be set before the kohen and the kohen will set a value for him, in keeping with what the one who made the vow can afford.
