that the triumph of the wicked is short and the joy of the godless is but for a moment?


They spend their days in prosperity, and in a moment go down to Sheol.


The soil in the valley is sweet to him; everyone follows after him, and countless are those before him.


Those who hate you will be clothed with shame. The tent of the wicked will be no more!”


Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, you will look at his place, but he will not be there.


How suddenly they became a ruin— terminated, consumed by terrors.


A brutish man does not know, nor does a fool understand.


For the sun arises with a scorching heat and withers the grass, and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed. So also the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will wither away.
