Why did you secretly flee away, and steal from me? Why didn’t you tell me, so I could send you away with joy and with songs, with tambourines and with lyres?


His brother’s name was Jubal—he was the pioneer of all who skillfully handle stringed instruments and wind instruments.


They send out their little ones like a flock and their children dance.


They spend their days in prosperity, and in a moment go down to Sheol.


Praise Him with tambourine and dance. Praise Him with string instruments and flute.


But instead, there is joy and gladness, slaughtering cattle and killing sheep, meat and drinking wine! “Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die!”


Harp and lyre, tambourine and flute, and wine are at their banquets. They do not notice Adonai’s activity nor see the works of His hands.
