if you put away the wickedness that is in your hand, and allow no iniquity to abide in your tent,


On every side terrors frighten him and harass his every step.


Total darkness waits for his treasures; A fire not fanned will devour him; it will consume what is left in his tent.

Why is light given to one who suffers and life to the bitter of soul,


By day they encounter darkness and grope at noon as if it were night.


The wicked is brought down in his calamity yet the righteous has a refuge even in death.


He will roll you up tightly and toss you like a ball into a large country. There you will die, and your glorious chariots will be the shame of your Master’s house.
