“Please, Adonai, remember how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in Your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.


my face is red from weeping, and on my eyelids are deep darkness;


he contends with God on behalf of man as one pleads for a friend.


I too could speak like you, if you were in my place; I could compose words against you and shake my head at you.


Surely now He has exhausted me; You have devastated my entire household.


Surely mockers are with me, my eyes must gaze on their hostility.


My eyes have grown dim with grief and all my limbs are like a shadow.


“He removed my brothers far from me; my acquaintances are only strangers to me.


If only I knew where to find Him; if only I could go to His dwelling.


In return for my love they are my accusers, but I am in prayer.
