“Should so many words go unanswered? Is a man justified by his lips?


and show you the secrets of wisdom— for sound wisdom has two sides. Know that God has forgotten some of your iniquity.


“Does a wise man answer with empty knowledge, or fill his belly with the east wind?


“But turn, all of you, come now! I will not find a wise man among you.


Because You have closed their heart to understanding, therefore You will not exalt them.


I hear a rebuke that dishonors me and my understanding inspires me to reply.


How you have counseled the one without wisdom and revealed your abundant insights!


A rich person is wise in his own eyes, but a discerning poor person sees through him.


Oy to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight!


We are fools for Messiah’s sake, but you are wise in Messiah! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, but we are dishonored!


I say this to put you to shame! Isn’t there even one wise man among you who will be able to settle disputes between his brethren?
