But in their distress they turned to Adonai, the God of Israel, and sought Him, and He was found by them.
Such is the generation seeking Him, seeking Your face, even Jacob! Selah
For rightness will be restored to justice, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
Adonai detests the way of the wicked, but loves those who pursue righteousness.
Whoever pursues righteousness and mercy finds life, prosperity and honor.
“I have not spoken in secret, in a place of a land of darkness. I did not say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in desolation.’ I, Adonai, speak righteousness, declaring uprightly.”
Hear this, house of Jacob, who are called by the Name of Israel, who came from the wellspring of Judah, who swear by the Name of Adonai and confess the God of Israel— but not in truth or righteousness.
Listen to Me, Jacob, Israel whom I called: I am He; I am the first; I am also the last.
“Pay attention to Me, My people, give ear to Me, My nation. For Torah will go out from Me, My justice as a light to the peoples.

For being ignorant of God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit themselves to the righteousness of God.
So then let us pursue what makes for shalom and for the building up of one another.
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself as having taken hold of this. But this one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
But you, O man of God, flee from these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
Now flee from youthful desires; instead, pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and shalom, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
Pursue shalom with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
