Thus says Adonai: “Let not the wise boast in his wisdom nor the mighty boast in his might nor the rich glory in his riches.


none of the people who saw My glory and My miraculous signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness—yet tested Me these ten times and did not obey My Voice—


So tell them, ‘As surely as I live,’ says Adonai, ‘I will do to you just as I heard you say in My ears.


In this very wilderness your bodies will drop—every one of you 20 years of age and older who was numbered in the census and grumbled against Me.

Now I wish to remind you—though you have come to know all things —that the Lord, once having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
