So Esau bore a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him, and Esau said in his heart, “Let the time for mourning my father draw near, so that I can kill my brother Jacob!”


Joseph fell upon his father’s face, wept over him and kissed him.


So Joseph died at 110 years old, and they embalmed him and he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.


He was buried in his own tomb, which he had hewn out for himself in the city of David. They laid him in his resting place, which was filled with sweet spices and various blended perfumes and they made a very large fire for him.


For when she poured this oil on My body, she did it to prepare Me for burial.


She did what she could—she came beforehand to anoint My body for burial.


When Shabbat was over, Miriam of Magdala, Miriam the mother of Jacob, and Salome bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Yeshua’s body.


Now on the first day of the week, at daybreak, the women came to the tomb, carrying the spices they had prepared.


Therefore Yeshua said, “Leave her alone! She set it aside for the day of My burial.
