Isaac prayed to Adonai on behalf of his wife because she was barren. Adonai answered his plea and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.


Now Adonai saw that Leah was unloved, so he opened her womb; but Rachel was unable to conceive.


But Jacob became furious with Rachel and said, “Am I, instead of God, the one who withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”


Afterwards she gave birth to a daughter and named her Dinah.


Rachel’s sons were Joseph and Benjamin.


Then God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. So God caused a wind to pass over the land and the water subsided.


For He remembered His holy word to Abraham His servant.


He settles the barren woman in her home as a joyful mother of children. Halleluyah!


Behold, children are a heritage of Adonai —the fruit of the womb is a reward.
