Then Zadok the kohen took the horn of oil out of the Tent and anointed Solomon. Then they blew the shofar, and all the people said: “Long live King Solomon!”


But some of the sons of the kohanim prepared the mixture of spices.


It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard —Aaron’s beard— coming down on the collar of his robes.


Put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him, and anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, so that they may minister to Me as kohanim.
