Peter responded to her, “Tell me if you sold the land for this much.” She said, “Yes, for that much.”

And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

And Peter said to her, Tell me, did you sell the land for so much? Yes, she said, for so much.

And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much. And she said, Yea, for so much.

Peter asked her, “Tell me, did you and your husband receive this price for the field?” She responded, “Yes, that’s the amount.”

And Peter said to her, "Tell me, woman, if you sold the field for this amount?" And she said, "Yes, for that amount."

And Peter said to her: Tell me, woman, whether you sold the land for so much? And she said: Yea, for so much.

He kept back some of the proceeds, with his wife’s full knowledge, and brought part of it and set it at the feet of the emissaries.

After an interval of about three hours, his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.
