So Abraham said to God, “If only Ishmael might live before you!”


“So now, my Lord Adonai, confirm the word that You have spoken concerning Your servant and his house forever, and do as You have promised.


Now it was at the time of offering up the evening sacrifice that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Adonai, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that You are God in Israel, that I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.


Answer me, Adonai, answer me, so that these people may know that You, Adonai, are God, and that You have turned their heart back again.”


Not to us, Adonai, not to us, but to Your Name be the glory— because of Your love and Your faithfulness.


May You add days to the king’s days. May his years span many generations.


Once for all I have sworn by My holiness —surely I will not lie to David—


“Therefore, pray in this way: ‘Our Father in heaven, sanctified be Your name.


Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came out of heaven, “I have glorified it, and again I will glorify it!”
