Then someone told David saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” So David prayed, “Adonai, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”

Then someone told David saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” So David prayed, “Adonai, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”
Now when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey, arose, went to his home in his hometown set his house in order, and hanged himself. So he died and was buried in his father’s tomb.
Now in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, King Sennacherib of Assyria marched against all the fortified towns of Judah and seized them.
“Return, and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, thus says Adonai, the God of your father David: ‘I have heard your prayer and I have seen your tears. Behold, I am going to heal you. On the third day you will go up to the House of Adonai.
You will pray to Him and He will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.
Call upon Me in the day of trouble. When I rescue you, you will honor Me.”
Praise is awaiting You in Zion, O God, and to You the vow will be fulfilled.
Then you will call, and Adonai will answer. You will cry and He will say, “Here I am.” If you get rid of the yoke among you— finger-pointing and badmouthing—
And it will come to pass that before they call, I will answer, and while they are still speaking, I will hear.
“Call to Me, and I will answer you— I will tell you great and hidden things, which you do not know.”
I knew that You always hear Me; but because of this crowd standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.”
He says, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your tzadakah remembered before God.
He stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” The angel said to him, “Your prayers and tzadakah have gone up as a memorial offering before God.
