Now Asa did what was right in Adonai’s eyes, like his father David.


Though the high places were not removed from Israel, still Asa’s heart was completely committed to Adonai all his days.


Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was 35 years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for 25 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shlihi.


However, the high places were not removed, nor did the people direct their hearts to the God of their fathers.


Adonai rewarded me for my righteousness. For the cleanness of my hands He repaid me.


For he flatters himself in his own eyes, too much to notice his iniquity —or hate it.
