When you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and your portion is with adulterers.


Then after fasting, praying, and laying hands on them, they sent them off.


But when they resisted and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said, “Your blood be upon your own heads—I am clean! From now on, I will go to the Gentiles.”


Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all.


They placed these men before the emissaries; and after praying, they laid hands on them.


Take no part in the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them—


Also let them first be tested—then let those who are blameless serve as servant-leaders.


An overseer, then, must be beyond criticism—the husband of one wife, clear-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,


He must not be a new believer, or he may become puffed up and fall into the same judgment as the devil.


Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but become an example of the faithful—in speech, in conduct, in love, in faithfulness, and in purity.


Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was given to you through prophecy with the laying on of hands of the elders.
