But Laban said to him, “If I’ve found favor in your eyes—I’ve looked for good omens, and Adonai has blessed me because of you.”
His master saw that Adonai was with him and that Adonai made everything he set his hand to successful.
Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of satan—who say they are Jewish and are not, but lie—behold, I will cause them to come and bow down before your feet, so that they acknowledge that I have loved you!
Now Saul’s daughter Michal loved David. When they told Saul, the matter pleased him.
David had risen, gone with his men and killed 200 Philistine men. Then David brought their foreskins and gave them in full number to the king—to become the king’s son-in-law. So Saul gave him Michal his daughter as a wife.
Saul grew even more afraid of David. Thus Saul became David’s enemy for all days.
Now behold, I know for certain that you will be king, and that the kingdom of Israel will rise in your hand.
Then Saul said to David, “Blessed are you, David my son! You will both do mightily and will surely prevail.” So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.
