For the body is not one part, but many.
For the body is not one member, but many.
For the body does not consist of one limb or organ but of many.
Certainly the body isn’t one part but many.
For the body, too, is not one part, but many.
For the body also is not one member, but many.
For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of the body—though many—are one body, so also is Messiah.
If the foot says, “Since I’m not a hand, I’m not part of the body,” is it therefore not part of the body?
If they were all one part, where would the body be?
But now there are many parts, yet one body.
So lay aside lying and “each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another.
