After looking around at them with anger, grieved by the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out yoʋr hand.” So he stretched it out, and his hand was restored, as sound as the other.
He said to them, “So are you also without understanding? Do you not understand that whatever goes into a person from the outside cannot defile him?
Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish men, how slow of heart you are to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes and understand with their heart and turn back, and I would heal them.”
What then? Israel did not obtain what it was seeking. The chosen obtained it, but the rest were hardened,
