But Peter was following him at a distance, coming as far as the courtyard of the high priest. After going inside, he sat with the officers to see the outcome.
Keep watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Now as Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the servant girls of the high priest came.
Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
Then they arrested him, led him away, and brought him to the house of the high priest, and Peter was following at a distance.
(Now the servants and the officers had made a charcoal fire, because it was cold, and they were standing there warming themselves. Peter was also standing with them, warming himself.)
