If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it.’ Then he will immediately send it here.”
So he sent two of his disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jug of water will meet you. Follow him.
He will then show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; make preparations for us there.”
and say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher asks yoʋ, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?” ’
After saying this, she went and called her sister Mary, saying in private, “The Teacher is here and is calling for yoʋ.”
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.
