As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.


For he had healed many, so that all who had afflictions were pressing toward him to touch him.


Then he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, so that the crowd would not crush him.


He saw two boats moored beside the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets.


Early in the morning he again went to the temple courts. All the people came, and he sat down and taught them.
