Dan shall judge his people, As one of the tribes of Israel.


And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp, That leapeth forth from Bashan.


And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was none left that breathed: and he burnt Hazor with fire.


And the border of the children of Dan went out beyond them: for the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.


When ye go, ye shall come unto a people secure, and the land is large: for God hath given it into your hand; a place where there is no want of any thing that is in the earth.


And the children of Dan went their way: and when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back unto his house.
