Psalm 107:34

And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the Plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou goest unto Zoar.


Now the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners against the LORD exceedingly.


All these joined together in the vale of Siddim (the same is the Salt Sea).


when thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth.


O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, When thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah


How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole country wither? for the wickedness of them that dwell therein, the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our latter end.


Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good from you.


and say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GODconcerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.


But the miry places thereof, and the marishes thereof, shall not be healed; they shall be given up to salt.
